Exercise

Exercise is a very important part of a healthy diet, and done on a regular basis exercise will help you fight off disease and other unhealthy conditions. Exercise on a daily basis helps keep you in control of your weight, boosts your energy level, and enjoy an improvement in your mood. Exercise can be fun, social, and put the spark back in your sex life.

Let me start by saying that if you suffer from any chronic health problems diabetes, arthritis or heart disease you should let your doctor in on any new exercise plan, especially if you haven't exercised regularly in a while. I am not a doctor but my goal, with the posts I write, is to keep you out of the hospital, and healthy by sharing the health news, and tips I find in all my health and wellness online exploration. I also realize that what works for me, exercise-wise, may not work for everyone who reads my posts.

Whether you prefer indoor, or outdoor physical activity exercise can allow you to unwind and whether or not you chose to workout indoor or outdoor you can still team up with friends or family to enjoy the social aspect of keeping your body active on a regular basis. When it comes to exercise some exercise is better than none, but exercise on a regular basis is better than over-exercising on a once in a while basis. Seventy-five minutes of vigorous aerobic activity a week, such as running or one-hundred and fifty minutes of moderate exercise activity like walking is a good recommendation for the beginner.

I actually use a combination of the two that involves both walking and some running with strength training for my major muscles at least twice a week. I made my own schedule and depending on the way your day usually shapes up you should too. The important thing is to take some time for yourself,  then take the plunge---start and begin exercising on a regular basis.

I spread my exercise activity out over the week so my exercise seldom happens at the same time every day, but I try to stay committed and still make sure that my exercise goal for that day is met. So if you suffer from low energy levels, especially when it comes to experiencing, or enjoying sexual intimacy physical activity on a regular basis can not only raise your energy level it has also been known to increase confidence in your own appearance.

Where intimacy is concerned, women who exercise on a regular basis may experience enhanced arousal due to increased blood flow where it's needed most. Men who get an aerobic workout on a regular basis are less likely to have a problem with ED (erectile dysfunction) than men who chose not to give up the couch for a more active lifestyle. So if you're already on a healthy diet path and you haven't yet added exercise to your daily routine, then take the plunge into exercise on a regular basis.

Bulletproof yourself against many types of cancer, anxiety, and depression, type 2 diabetes, and high-blood-pressure to name just a few of the illnesses and conditions the lack of exercise can leave you open to. Lower your death risk with a regular daily exercise activity of your choice with the emphasis not on how much exercise you can do, but how often you can exercise.

Green Tea Health

Green Tea Health

Green Tea has recently undergone a surge in popularity here in America and around the world even though this tea has always been popular in Japan, China, and Taiwan.

Green Tea has historically been thought to possess special healing properties that have been in many instances confirmed through modern-day research. Findings that prove when consumed on a regular basis (daily) green tea does indeed possess undeniable health benefits and has shown positive effects with neurodegenerative illnesses like Alzheimer's, or Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, High Blood Pressure to name a few of the illnesses green tea is said to help.

In my opinion, this makes green tea is one of the most health beverages on earth. Alzheimer's a disease that mostly affects the elderly gradually causing memory to be reduced until there is sometimes nothing familiar about their environment.  One cup of green tea a day can protect against Alzheimer's and Parkinson disease the leading cause of dementia.

Cancer (the uncontrolled growth of cells in the body) is one of the most devastating illnesses in the United States. Researchers have sought a way to prevent and cure the disease. Chemotherapy, various other forms of medication and Radiation are currently used to treat Cancer. Green tea could reduce your risk of cancer because of the protective effect the antioxidants contained in Green Tea. This Tea is made from un-oxidized leaves and tends to be a little on the bitter side, however, a little sugar or honey can overcome the bitter taste.

Arthritis, a painful ailment that affects the body’s joints, can make it painful to walk, stand up or make even the slightest movements, while there is no known cure for arthritis; green tea is believed to aid in its treatment.

MS (Multiple Sclerosis) is also a very painful illness that gradually takes away usage of movement. Green tea is thought to possibly aid in the treatment of MS. I believe the word "possible" was used because not everyone responds the same way (if at all) to green tea when used as a cure. Once you are in the curative stage your doctor should be involved, for sure. It would appear to me that green tea is best used as a preventative measure, to stave off disease, by maintaining the healthiest lifestyle possible.

Other pluses associated with the regular use of green tea relate to things like skincare, a lower risk of type II diabetes and cardiovascular disease, the lowering of hypertension or high blood pressure, depression, and the lowering of your weight, or weight loss, all things that can affect and in some cases prevent a healthy lifestyle.

For a beverage that was used in ancient medicine, offers so many health benefits and does not require a prescription, if you haven’t already tried it green tea deserves a try.  I'm into preventative health measures when it comes to my health so green tea sounds like a good idea to me.

This article is intended to be used for informational purposes only and should not be viewed as professional medical advice or a doctor’s recommendation. Prior to beginning any green tea treatment regimen, individuals should consult a physician about any medications you may already be taking for proper instruction on whether or not any compound contained in green tea might interfere with any medication you may be taking. Upset stomach may result in some people after consuming green tea. n some people after consuming green tea

Prostate Health

Every once in a while when I'm looking through some of my entries on my Food Medicine Pinterest page I come across an interesting bit of information about health and the relationship to herb, or health food and men's prostate health the topic of this note. I make no medical claim here only a suggestion with the herbal cocktail you'll find at the end of this article. All of the listed ingredients are good for your health in general, but in this instance, I hope to apply the suggestion of herbal healing energy to the male prostate. Onions, garlic, and tomatoes should all be part of this year's crop for me. The Onions and garlic having a head start since I started growing them last year; tomatoes will be added this season.

For men, looking for a way to reduce the negative effect of free radicals on prostate cells it's believed that the antioxidants in veggies can accomplish that goal. Over a period of fourteen years, a study of some thirty-two thousand men seems to support the veggie antioxidant connection. The study showed an eleven-percent lower risk of BPH (or in medical terms Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) or the term I finally understood; an enlarged prostate. The study compared the men who did eat their veggies to men who did not eat their vegetables regularly. The amount of vegetable that was used in the research added up to about one and a half serving daily or, about three cups of veggies per day.

I come from a family of T-Rexes, or true meat eating carnivores who for the most part have always believed that there was room on this earth for all of God’s wonderful creatures---right next to the potatoes. So it has taken me a while to incorporate more veggies into my daily diet. When I was younger I honestly felt the man did not fight his way to the top of the food chain to eat plants! But if you live long enough and pay attention to the effect a bad diet and poor health on friends and family, sometimes even on yourself you eventually make the connection (at least that is the way it was for me). These days I have some wisdom from years of dietary ups and downs, and witnessing the effects a healthy diet has to offer especially when it comes to energy, stamina, and health in general.

When it comes to the male prostate I should mention that Omega-three oil is believed to actually cut the prostate cancer rate. The theory made it to the testing stage when mice, genetically engineered to develop prostate cancer, were given the Omega-3 as a treatment. The Omega 3 in the fish oil actually slowed the progression of the disease to a crawl. The study focused on males with a family history of prostate cancer but the results were truly eye opening. The Omaga-3 fatty acid in fish oil capsules appears to have the beneficial effect of slowing progression of prostate cancer significantly. I would prefer to get my Omega-3 from eating the fish, whenever I can, but just in case fish is not on the menu for tonight fish oil capsules are the next best thing.

A piece of fresh fish (also chicken or turkey) on a plate loaded with vegetables just might be a life extender, maybe even a life saver for some.  Government information source  Here is the recipe mentioned in the beginning, for a pretty neat Smoothie to help with men's prostate health.

3 tomatoes
1/2 bell pepper
